Unveiling a Unusual Steam Game Trial: Playing as a Turdy Character with the Goal to Reach the Toilet

Steam Next Fest is currently underway, and enthusiasts have encountered a variety of entertaining creations from small studios. But, one catches the eye for its offbeat concept. Called Unko Technica, this old-school styled platformer lets you play a character that is literally a dung trying to travel to a toilet. As a fun fact, "Unko" means "poop."

The gameplay is straightforward: just use a one button to leap. Throughout numerous stages, battle mini-bosses and unlock a market to purchase outfits for your dung hero.

Plan your actions carefully, as a error forces beginning again. Leap using air pockets to propel your character upward, traverse fragile platforms, and interact with triggers to open new areas. Gather coins for buying more difficult levels where the action gets crazy.

Visually, the experience boasts neon stages and an amazing background music. The simple graphics with morphing abstract forms may remind fans of beloved games like Earthbound.

Even though tough to recall previous releases where you are a coiled turd, interactive entertainment have long included toilet humor. As an illustration, in Death Stranding, players craft throwables from protagonist droppings. Games like Palworld and Ark: Survival Evolved utilize dung as plant food. Naturally, fecal references shows up a lot in the role-playing game The Stick of Truth.

Despite its humorous idea, Unko Technica has already garnered impressive awards, such as winning at Bandai Namco's GYAAR Studio in 2023. This trial version is available currently on Steam, with the full game scheduled to launch on Steam this November.
