The Wales head coach says England's player pool is remarkable that a boxing promoter wouldn't pair them against his Wales side.

Bellamy's men meet their neighbors in a friendly at Wembley on this Thursday before their crucial World Cup qualifier against Belgium next the following week.

National team coach Tuchel has left the likes of Jude Bellingham, Foden and Jack Grealish from his selection for the match against Wales and their World Cup qualifier against the Latvian team.

"England have a ridiculous team, like the French," Bellamy said.

"England have a transfer market value of 1.4 billion pounds, Wales' is £170m. If you were a boxing promoter, you wouldn't match us up. That wouldn't be permitted."

He explains ensuring the Welsh team can face the star-studded opponents is a "key motivation".

Bellamy continued: "We don't go off market prices, but the reality is they don't just have one team. They possess two, three, four and France and other nations are similarly stacked. England have loads of great players and that's a fact."

"One right-back was ruled out with injury the recently and there are 24 more to go! They've got over sixty players. I wish Wales to be well-equipped similarly."

The neighbouring countries last faced each other at the 2022 tournament in the Middle East, when the English emerged as comfortable 3-0 winners in a fixture before the previous England team made it to the quarter-finals.

Southgate's successor is Tuchel, a European and Fifa Club World Cup champion at the London club who has won league championships in Ligue 1 and his home country.

The Welsh boss was previously an assistant at the Belgian side and the English club to Kompany, who replaced Tuchel at Bayern Munich.

"Tuchel's an incredible manager - his record is proven," Bellamy noted.

"I have some sort of understanding because the club he left I am familiar with individuals who have gone in there. I gain a glimpse there of how he works and it's remarkable. "

"His tactical detail is top level and I aimed to be facing that - observe how you're going to adapt because he adapts too. I will get to learn from it. I'd love to get to that level."
