The Venezuelan authorities have issued a stern warning to international airlines, demanding they restart operations to the country in the next two days or risk losing their flight clearances.

Several major airlines halted their flights to Venezuela after the American FAA raised concerns about heightened security risks in the region.
The warning came as the US government escalated pressure by sending military assets to the Caribbean region, including what reports describe as enhanced naval deployment.

The FAA advisory specifically mentioned concerns about operating in the MaiquetĂa region, referencing deteriorating security conditions and heightened defense activities.
MaiquetĂa airport, which handles capital city flights, has seen dramatically decreased global connectivity despite certain carriers continuing operations.
Aviation Reaction
Aviation organizations have urged Venezuelan authorities to withdraw the deadline, warning that further reduction in connectivity would harm the country.
The association emphasized that participating carriers had only briefly halted operations and remained dedicated to reinstating services when conditions improve.
Escalating Conflict
Bilateral tensions have deteriorated amid American naval deployments in the region, which Washington claims aims to fight narcotics trade.
Naval operations have included numerous interventions against alleged narcotics shipments in Caribbean waters since early September.
