The Gory Animated Movie Ending That Haunts Fans

Out of every adult-oriented cartoon movies I’ve personally viewed, nothing has lingered in my mind as much as the fear-filled ending of the graphically gory as well as deeply subversive film from 2022 Unicorn Wars.

Back in 2015’s, the Spanish writer-director developed a grim, bleak , frequently brutal world that included a few small , forlorn twinges of optimism.

Although The Unicorn Wars appears as it came from an impulse to push animation even more, the director explained that it was more a try to express a universal, multicultural message regarding “the mutual source of each battle.”

That idea is communicated by means of a squad of vividly colored bears , obviously inspired by a famous series of cuddly figures.

Being raised in a society built around aggression as well as the military-industrial complex, numerous these creatures are obsessed with killing unicorns, due to a sacred text which states them they previously were rulers of the woods, before these creatures drove them out.

Others did not entirely fallen for the propaganda, and would rather try out substances or engage sexually outdoors.

In contrast to their gentle counterparts, these bright beings display sexual organs and clear urges.

For a certain especially vicious, pessimistic creature, the character Bluey, the war against unicorns becomes a route to power — and specifically to authority over his softer, more compassionate sibling Tubby.

This bear is a bully and an apparent sociopath , and while fear overcomes his group and claims his comrades one by one, he takes increasingly influence for himself, in increasingly violent, destructive ways.

Meanwhile, the horned creatures are suffering their own nightmare, through a spreading, destructive monster in their woods.

“At the beginning, it feels like a humorous movie,” the director stated. “Yet it becomes a more dramatic and sad movie. And by the end, it’s a horror film.”

Unicorn Wars begins resembling one of the most quirky films from a renowned filmmaker, that uncover a mischievous joy in permitting cartoon characters curse, engage in violence, or have intimate relations.

Afterward it evolves into something more like a bleaker movie from that creator, including ever more explicit brutality and a tangible relation to genuine horror of conflict.

By the end, it becomes a complete Grand Guignol carnage.

The fear that turns this a Halloween-friendly viewing starts much sooner than one might expect.

Unicorn Wars is ideal for the most dedicated fans of gore, for fans of extreme cinema who desire to view a film they have not viewed until now, and are able to withstand a narrative that pulls no restraint.

View it in a dimly lit space without any distractions, and the finale will crawl under your skin and stay with you.
