Mohamed Salah Extends Statement to Squad, Reveals Curtis Jones
The Liverpool midfielder has shared that Salah said sorry to the team after the controversy from his public comments.

He was omitted from a vital match following voicing frustrations and suggesting his rapport with Arne Slot had broken down.
“He speaks for himself and he can say his own stuff,” Jones revealed. “He apologised to us and was like: ‘If my words hurt anyone, I'm sorry.’”
The head coach has refused to comment publicly on whether he received a personal apology from the 33-year-old forward.
Moving Forward
Jones insisted that the squad's reaction was unchanged. “He was his usual self, his demeanour was positive and everybody was exactly the same with him,” the midfielder explained.
He also suggested that a competitor wanting to play is a positive trait. “It's clear there are different methods you can express yourself,” he said. “Yet, should someone be happy to just sit out, then I think that’s more of an issue.”
Team Form
Liverpool's form have stayed unbeaten in the period after the initial controversy. The player is convinced the Salah's words were not intended to harm the team.
“In moments of frustration, it’s always been from a desire to win,” he finished. “It's behind us and we’re uniting strongly, getting results and starting to win games.”
