Football Star Aaron Ramsey Boosts Incentive for Lost Pet in Mexico to $$20k
Welsh football star Aaron Ramsey has raised the incentive for information about his missing dog Halo to ÂŁ15k.
Ex- Arsenal and Cardiff City player, who now plays for the Mexican club Pumas in the capital, revealed that the beagle was observed in San Miguel de Allende, located in the Guanajuato state area.
The beagle, who disappeared on October 9th, was equipped with a GPS collar, and Ramsey published a Google maps location of her last known location.
"Any sort of information concerning our pet Halo kindly get in touch with us. Big bounty for finding her. We are all praying she is safe and will return to our side shortly," Ramsey wrote on Instagram.
Earlier Bounty and Emotional Pleas
Ramsey initially revealed that Halo had disappeared 14 days prior and has since posted multiple images of the cherished pet on his social media account.
A $$10k bounty was first offered, but with no news on the dog's location after a seven days, the player and his family raised the reward.
"We just want our girl back," he expressed in a further request on his online platforms after the elderly pet disappeared.
A recent picture share is a monochrome image of the beagle sleeping, its head resting in the curve of the athlete's elbow, with the caption: "What I'd do to hold you one last time Halo."
Family's Anxieties and Context
The footballer has also posted a message from his wife Colleen on social media mentioning they have several "serious questions" regarding the incident and are concerned the household "might not obtain explanations".
"We still have not located Halo. I don't think we will ever," his wife's message read.
The Welsh captain became part of Mexico's first division team Club Universidad Nacional earlier this year and made his first appearance in the Mexican league in the eighth month.
The Caerphilly-born athlete is the first high profile UK player to play in the Mexico's top division.
