Football Expert Sutton Battles Artist Olly Murs in Top Flight Predictions

Arsenal's 10-game winning run came to an end by Sunderland prior to the international break, however can the English top division frontrunners bounce back against local foes Spurs this Sunday?

"{I feel like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," remarked soccer expert Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will try to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating best this season - but Mikel Arteta's side typically still manage to win."

The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, against artificial intelligence, fans and a variety of guests.

In week 12, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United supporter.

The singer's new album, the new release, is out on Friday.

Soccer and Parenting Experiences

Murs is a talented soccer player as well as a accomplished singer and has been a featured player of multiple Soccer Aid matches down the years - but he is not intending a professional comeback as a footballer.

"{I recently played in a benefit game the other evening for a friend of mine," he said. "My side was losing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you want!

"I still love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too dangerous for me in my career to do it properly again.

"Additionally I am 41 now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my daughter or boy chooses to play instead."

The singer and his wife his partner have two children, their daughter and their son, and he is ready to emulate his dad by taking on the role of their coach.

"I won't force football on our children but I've already told my wife that if they happen to get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will likely be coaching their weekend soccer side," he said.

"I watched my nephews play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I clearly was involved with a football club for a period too.

"My father did it with us when I was a kid, which is probably where I get it from. He managed our team for two or three years and had a wonderful time with it. That could be the future for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Premier League Predictions

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues might have to be patient for their star's return from injury but their attack is already more potent with Pedro and Delap both back fit.

I still think this game will be quite tight, though. Burnley are well organised and their sole home defeats so far have been against the Reds and Arsenal.

It suggests a 1-1 tie to me, but I am actually going to choose Chelsea to win narrowly for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.

Sutton's prediction: 1-2

The singer's pick: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3

AI's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have lost their past two matches - although both of them were on the road - but they got absolutely spanked by Aston Villa last time out which surprised me.

On the other hand, West Ham secured two in a row before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at home, they do look strong again.

West Ham's sole away win this campaign came at Forest in the summer, when West Ham manager Nuno was previously that team's coach.

So, what exactly do I predict here - will it be the Hammers continuing their streak under their manager, or the home side bouncing back?

I am going to go with Bournemouth, because I believe what occurred against Aston Villa was a blip.

Sutton's prediction: 2-0

Olly's prediction: The home team are performing strongly but West Ham have improved under Nuno. 2-2

AI's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were seen as one of the frontrunners for the drop before the campaign began, but they have surprised a several observers under their manager and are in fine fettle with three wins in their past four matches.

My son told me to select Brentford striker Igor Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks ago and, unfortunately, I didn't listen.

The forward will probably find the net again on Saturday but I am nonetheless not going to pick him or support Brentford at Brighton's ground.

The Bees have not had great success on the road this season, and Brighton are consistently decent at home. Brentford will try to attack on the counter-attack but I feel Fabian Hurzeler's team pose much more of a threat.

Sutton's prediction: 2-1

The singer's view: This could be a match where you expect there is going to be a lot of scores but it in reality turns out to be rather close. 1-1

The computer's prediction: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a huge fixture for the Cottagers, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six matches.

Fulham have got lots of talent in their squad but it nonetheless feels like they could be dragged into a relegation fight.

As for Sunderland, indeed they are the unexpected success of the top flight campaign so far.

Their performance in the 2-2 draw with the Gunners last time out was excellent. We have not seen any other team rough up the North London side like that this season, and Sunderland were more than a match for them.

The logical choice would be to support the Black Cats here, because they are clearly capable of disrupting the hosts up too and, the last time they were in this part of London, they beat Chelsea at the end of last month.

But I am not choose that. Rather, I truly need to carry on opposing the away team with my forecasts. I am claiming a lot of responsibility for their good outcomes because they clearly love to defy my predictions.

Considering the home side's at Craven Cottage form, the only team they have lost to is the league leaders. Their manager's team will be extremely eager for a positive outcome, so I am going to say they will secure three points.

The expert's prediction: 1-0

The guest's choice: I'm aware Sunderland are performing strongly and additionally that the hosts are on a poor run... but Fulham have nonetheless been respectable at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0

AI's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a hard fixture to predict. Liverpool have lost seven of their last ten matches in every tournament, but might they be one of the teams who profit from the {international break|
